All of their outfits were bought and worn the rest of year or years till it became rotten and fell off, that means they only ever had one outfit wore it till it was dead and then got rid of it when was rotten. The semen always wore barefoot compared to the wealthy who took great pride into their looks from the tips of their toes to top of their heads. During the hot summer weather many of the pirates felt the need to run around in the nude (in other words they chose to work naked!). Sir Walter Raleigh, Sir Francis Drake, Thomas Cavendish, Jacques Sores, Francois Le Clerc and lots of other pirates dressed in costumes appropriate to their rank. They wore either a hose or a combination of hoses and breeches (They are close fitting or baggy trousers tied with ribbons or garters near their knees).
